What impact Does Running a 64bit cpu supported game?

Im currently only on a 32 bit windows xp but i have an Amd 64 athlon x2 6000+ but i want to know will i see a frame rate difference if i got windows xp 64 and started playing 64 bit games..? For example.. what about Lost planet For PC...with my amd x2 6000+ and my nvidia 7950GT.. it still struggles to get any proper performance out of that game..the standard frame rate i get in that game is 30fps. but in very snowy areas with monsters it drops to about 20 which is really unplayable.

It would be better to sell your 7950GT and get an 8800GTS rather than go with the hassle of a 64 bit Operating System.

you need more than just a 64bit OS, you also need good 64bit drivers, and most importantly, the game itself needs to be 64bit. Personally I would just OC your 7950 and get acceptable framerates that way.

i actually think their is smoething wrong to begin with i mean first i thought ooo well maybe the cpu is bottlenecking it i sa a bunch of 0's so i thought a 3000+ so i was thinking stock at 2ghz or so but then i saw its at 3.3 and its a 6000 plus its dual core and he has a 7950 that would out preforme my 8600GT so i think theirs a diff problem i mean regardless of how oc'd or not his card is he shouldnt be getting those frames with that rig am i wrong?
