OCZ Releases FlexXLC Edition DDR3
OCZ has released their new DDR3 PC3-12800 FlexXLC Edition which comes with an integrated hybrid copper and aluminum liquid injection system and runs timings of CL 6-6-6-18. The modules allow the flexibility to run on either passive or water cooling and are available in 2x 1024MB kits.

the speed AND latencies on ddr3 are getting much better, hopefully the prices will get more competetive soon, as i want an x38 board, and while you can get ddr2 ones, it'd be cool if a ddr3 one was a viable option within the year

slowly but surely they are coming through on the speed end of things with ddr3. And as more boards come out for it, the prices will drop as well.
