XFX 7600GT XXX Vmod for GPU?

Have found on other forums that a Vmod is very easily done with the right tools and some know how. The question I have is this....

I want to verify that my GFX a 650M version would use the same info to Vmod as the 570M version in this thread?

http://www.overclock.net/graphics-ca...00gt-uge3.html

my whole GFX # is this...PV-T73G-UGD3 V5.0 W03/07
GF 7600GT 650M 256MB DDR3 DUAL DVI PCI-E

I have just added a Maze4 GPU block to it and I just think it power limited.

740 on the core will run but 750 just shuts it down and with my new temps...its screamin for more power.

Yes, the same volt mod applies to the XXX version.

Just make sure the cards have the same layout, then test with a voltmeter man. Steady hands is all you need.

Well here's somethin I wasn't expecting. I took my pencil and modded the correct point obviously due to what the DMM reads. I took a resistance measurement and it reads 410ohms, but in the thread 380ohms = 1.455V+ core. I am getting a reading of 1.46V+ @410?

Ok so here goes with new questions....
#1 how high can I safely take Vcore on a 7600? (is it all still based on temps?)

#2 being that I'm getting goofy readings compared to the Vmod thread, should I just stop and undo what has been done already?

As for now I'm going to try and raise the core MHz and see if I can answer some of this myself.

Hey

The resistances used to get a certain voltage usually vary from card to card anyway, so all i check with the dmm before firing the card up is that i havn't dropped the resistance too much. Then just check the vcore, and if that's ok, do some testing. 1.46v should be ok on WC, how does it clock now?

Im at 750 on the core with no arti's, unlike previously posted. Taking it slower this time tho. Have noticed only a 2*c bump to full load temp of 47*c. Man I just dont want to break this thing.

Would you say there is possibility to raise the Vcore again or should I leave it where it is and be happy?

EDIT: just set it loose on 760 core.....damn this thing is a monster , seeing as stock is 650/800...lol

1. Found several links that say the vcore max is around 1.8volts.

2. Your measurement is not that far out of tollerance. Go for it.

1.8 just seemed insane, so then an additional bump may be in my future!!!!!

Anyone know offhand where these things peak, I've done some looking around ,but the clocks Im reading are lower than what im getting now!?!

Oh i almost forgot...trying 770/915 now !

Max overclocks are being reached at 1.60 to 1.61 volts, above that has no improvement.

Well after an hour of testing here is what I've found. Atitool will run at 770/915 but crashes on 3D03 and beyond, so I eased up a bit to 765/915 and she seems good so far.

Thanks ifrared and namslas for the help and easing my mind.

heres a couple of screenies to show my work thus far....mind you this is 1GPU as Im still waiting for the second Maze4 in the mail.

Funny part is the Maze4 i do have was from Germany and I bought it 1 day previous to the tard who lives in Cali. Yet for some reason I'm waiting on the 1 that is in country???????

Wow....I loved my 7600GT XXX clocked like hell even with stock cooling....Reached 670Mhz and didn't break 85'C under load lol. Which for stock cooling is immense.

Would have loved to have broken 700Mhz though....Nice one Sneeky!

@ Darknova...these V5.0 cards must be champs. Stock fans and no Vmods they ran 700/900 at 75*c on air. Couldnt take the heat well tho, they would get laggy and almost shut down in the more intense games!

My dad has the V1 Ultra, and I managed to get that to 720/900 @ 65'C, but it started artifacting if I went higher, and he wouldn't let me vmod it lol, and I've switched to my beloved x1950XT so unless I get my 2nd rig set up I ain't going to get to play with it lol.
