that is the ATI reference design HSF, which will do just fine bro
only other difference is you probably won't get any goodies like cables and adapters, which is no big deal for most people another possible difference is a slight stock clock difference but definitely won't be significant (or even anything that a manual overclock can achieve relatively easily) |

I have this one
I just bought this card.
It's a little strange. Specs out at 513 core 657 memory. Does not seem to have a 2d/3d clock mode, always runs at 513. Looking at the bios with Rabit it shows a 645 core speed for 3D. Latest drivers 7.9 do not load the overdrive panel. ATItool will let me overclock the core to 573.75 but anything over that and it reverts back to 573.75; I can't overclock the memory anything past the default 657. Questions. Can I get the overdrive panel to appear in CCC? What can I look at to see whether to 2d/3d modes are working/functional? What is preventing me from trying to clock over the 573/657 speeds? Card is fast. 3Dmark05 scores are 3X the 6600GT OC that it replaced. |

Update
Update on the x1900GT OEM.
It can be overclocked. I didn't know that the speed increases were very coarse. I needed to increase the speed by a bigger margian. ATI tools got to 573 core and 846 memory. Stable at 567/846. Looked at the BIOS in Rabit and it only has a single profile; so I guess that's why there is no Overdrive. Last edited by bluesubaru; Sep 30, 2007 at 03:31 AM. Reason: grammer |
