NVIDIA ForceWare 163.71 BETA Released

I don't know if NVIDIA is going to continue releasing new drivers every week, but here we have another one. In this release of NVIDIA ForceWare 163.71 BETA drivers for GeForce 6, 7 and 8 series you'll find nothing new, but added NVIDIA SLI profile for Team Fortress 2 and improved compatibility for PT Boats: Knights of the Sea. If you're willing to give it a try, click on the link below.

I actually have to commend nVidia on the recent slew of updates. They appeared somewhat dormant in the past few months. If they can keep improving their drivers, they may be back on my list of hardware to consider during my next upgrade.

You should always update your drivers to the newest ones.

So... is the 8800GTS 320MB's texture slowdown issue fixed yet? I wont buy one until Nvidia fixes it up

I bet that when Nvidia fixes that slowdown they will announce it with BIG and BOLD letters in the changes log

Sigh... No, you use the drivers that work the best. 163.69's are the latest WHQL certified drivers. 163.71's are beta.

I've been using these drivers with no issues for a few weeks. I did have some artifacting but my shaders were too high.

I scooped 'em and installed 'em. No issues so far. Played TF2, Doom 3 & FEAR today with no ill effects...

I got flawless performace when forcing TF2 to dx8.1, and very little change! only thing of big notice is that the flame from pyro doesnt looks as good, that white outline when cloaking is fuzzy, and couple textures here and there (but i think this is a bug).
