Looks a lot like something people here at Purdue do with AutoCAD or CATIA. Nicely done, maybe you should consider a career in manfacturing graphics! Hahaha.

Well hell yeah!.... that is, in my dreams. I really don't see this thing getting built, it's just a design exercise, some wishful thinking. I'm glad you appreciate it, the fan blades took me a LONG time. Perhaps more powerful software like AutoCAD has streamlined ways of drawing that sort of thing, Sketchup doesn't.

Yeah Probably should. My current career sucks. So, if anyone is listening, I'll happily take up any job offers you might care to make. Lol.

Well... I think the "competition" would be Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor, but those are way expensive. From what I've heard, SketchUp is way easy to use for static modelling, and you've done it handily. IM me.

I just had a 5 minute geez at the Solidworks and Autodesk inventor websites. And yeah they're wayyyyyy above SketchUp, although the basics look the same. Sketchup is very easy to learn, I had most of it worked out on a couple of days. You should definitely have a go.

thanks for having a look. I'm tempted to have another go at this but it's a pain, my laptop runs it ptetty slowly being such a complex model and all. There are a few issues with the design, cable management and airflow will probably be atrocious

Maybe I do need a career change. I'm currently working as a chocolate scientist, not really enjoying that.
