Notice a difference in quality?

Do you really notice a difference between 4xaa/8xaa? 4/af/8xaf? I notice SOME difference but nothing to write home about.

The AA is less noticeable for me at higher resolutions, but I always have 16x AF on.

at higher resolution like 1680x1050, with AA off, I can still see the tearing edges. But I can no longer see that if AA on 2X. 4X swallows too much of performance.

I only use 2xAA on 1024x768. Yeah I still notice some jaggies but it's generally smooth, smooth enough for my liking. I also use 4xaf, 2x is fugly. Pretty much Nvidia's "balanced" config.

When actually playing a game I can't tell the difference between say 8x AF and 16xAF simply because I don't sit around looking at distant textures. However gaming a 1680x1050 I can tell the difference between 2xAA and 4xAA. 4xAA to 8xAA is not noticable unless you stand still, even then its game specific.

When playing at 1680x1050 I can get away without AA at all, however I prefer at least 2x. Generally I play with 4xAA and 8xAF, anything beyond that isn't really noticeable to me.

I forget the difference between AA and AF.

Does AF remove the jagged lines on the objects? and AA, what does that do?

i play at 1920x1200, and try to max out AA whenever i can, sometimes its fine with a low value, especially wide tent AA at a lower value appears to give a nice blend, as for AF i just max that to 16.

Currently playing Quake wars and slapped on 24X AA, looks nice and still great fps, but no difference, really.. from a slightly lower AA setting, as at this hi rez its effect is much lessened

Useful video DaMulta. Thanks it's nice to see it compared like that, not just in posted pictures.
