can't find out device?
i got a problem,i plug it(usb) in,i can view the sign of usb on my pc,but when i double-click it,it shows"can't find out device"(on windows),my OS is linux,then after plugging in ,it says "Unable to mount media.","There is probably no media in the drive."...
what's matter?hardware problem or software?i hope anyone can solve it,thanks.

Are you using a USB flash drive? Could be a hardware issue. Can you give more details?

It would really help if you'd mention what device, what distribution/version of Linux. And how does Windows say "can't find out device" when your OS is Linux?

i have the same problem
hi
i have the same problem when i go to plug my mp3 player in to my computer. i can see the image but i cant acsess it. and my mp3 don't turn on aswell. i think it might be a softwear problem. but im not 100% shure ![]() i try to find out.

See my last response. Give some information to work with. How is your problem the same anyway? We have no clue about what the problem is. Unless your Linux machine gives Windows errors as well of course. Why can't you access it? What MP3 player? What image?

But he uses Linux, at least that's what I think since he has the same problem. Though if you're right, what message appears when he double clicks the icon? Really, people should give more info, we're not psychic here.

sorry,mabye i didn't give the infor clearly,i just meant it says "can't find out device"(on windows OS)
