Asus P5K Deluxe Sata Ports ?

Is there preferred sata ports to use when running Raid0? I will be running raid0 with 2 drives, a sata backup drive, and a sata dvd drive. Will be using 4 ports on with the ICH9R controller.

Thank-You

If you look at the ports, two should say raid 1, two should say raid 0. I think black ones are raid 0

I looked on board. The ports are only marked from 1 to 6. I believe I read in a forum that the raid0 should go on the black ports. I wanted to confirm that.

Thank-you

Check the top of page 2-28. The red connectors SATA 1/2 are for the boot drive, RAID 0/1.

This board has worked well for me the last couple weeks.

With the rebate you might be close to your price point.

I'll add that if you have a lower drive cage(one that extends to the bottom of case) you might have clearence problems with the SATA cables. My lower drive cage is removable so I just took it out.
