Hes asking if a 2900Pro 1GB is a good buy. IMO, the 2950Pro would be a better buy, DX10.1 support.

Just get the best you can afford. I'm sure ATI will adapt drivers to include DX10.1 support sooner or later.

ATi cant, DX10.1 is hardware based. So a DX10.1 game will have to use DX10 mode, or as is more likely, the game probably wont run properly. Same applies to nvidia stuff too.
