good hdd checker?
memtest is an awesome program because it loads the program on boot. i was wondering if there is a HDD checking utility that works the sameway.

I remember seeing something like that, generally if I wanna know how my HDD is doing I'll use Speedfan's utility w/weblink for the readout. Whether or not it is actually true or not, I dunno, but it uses the S.M.A.R.T. diagnostics for readout.

There is a tool called MHDD, which can do low level diag on hdds.
