OCZ Introduces the ReaperX Series High Performance Memory

Cooler rams, better performance and less bother buying sesperate coolers for ram.

4-4-3 2.1v on 2GB modules. Not too shabby at all. Fine print says those timings are only on 680i chipsets tho.

They should target various chipsets...it's not that everyone owns a 680i.

Im sure they will its more that it has to be a mobo that support the sli ready ram that has a special chip in it . 590sli boards have it i cant remeber if ive seen it on a 650 board. I have the older reaper memory hpc for awhile and its sick nice timings and unlimited over clocking i go to 1100 i would go higher if my proc would go higher lol

I've actually found that a lot of the time I get better overclocks by taking off these stock ram coolers and simply running more air over the bare modules. It seems like most of the thermal interface material these companies use are almost better at insulating the heat rather than transfering it to the coolers. Perhaps if some sort of paste was used instead (or even some thermal epoxy) I'd change my mind about the performance of ram coolers.

Anyone know what chips these use? BTW, I LOVE THE HEATPIPE COOLING. I think its alot better than corsairs dominator line.

hmmm i've seen this memory cooling design way back before. i think it was either thermaltake or thermalright, found the thermalright http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/m...oduct_hr07.htm same dual pipe idea but a lot nicer..
