Microsoft Fires its CIO

Microsoft fired Chief Information Officer Stuart Scott on Friday after two years with the company, saying he violated company policies. The software maker did not specify which policies.

We can confirm that Stuart Scott was terminated after an investigation for violation of company policies,

a Microsoft representative said in an e-mailed statement. Microsoft said that two executives - General Manager Shahla Aly and Corporate Vice President Alain Crozier - will assume Scott's responsibilities until a replacement is identified. Microsoft declined to comment further on Scott's departure.

Naw, the other week he was stranded on an elevator for an hour with 5 other passengers, and was reported as not trying to pitch Microsoft Vista for at least 90% of the time, in strict violation of company policies.

In all seriousness, he probably did something that Microsoft really, really doesn't like. At this level of management, executives are usually asked to quietly resign whenever they do something wrong. Microsoft is intentionally trying to ruin this guy's life for some reason -- in firing him, they're trying to warn other corporations not to hire him.

IT is too it isnt VIsta SP1 but that doesnt make it a bad OS it is to actually a good operating system on a sclae from 1.0-10.0 I would give it a solid 8.7

But to be honest did he make any public announcements that he probably shouldnt have made to the public that maybe Microsoft didn't want to be said about quite yet at the time?

Or maybe he was stealing from the company that would piss even Bill Gates off in fact that would piss me off

vista just needs some polishing. sp2 will probably be just as good as xp. xp1 will, in itself, still be pretty good. regular vista, however, is like linux with direct x. takes some luck for stuff to work

OMG. Please state how you think so? Last I checked, you couldnt do a damn thing with ME not even load the OS. Vista is 1000x better than ME. I'm running Vista and its actually not all that bad, although XP atm is better, Vista still has its perks.
