Buy an Xbox 360 and Receive Halo 3 for Free
All original Xbox owners who upgrade to Xbox 360 between November 21 and December 21, 2007, move their existing paid Xbox LIVE account to an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription and then register on this site (currently offline for some reason), will receive a copy of Halo 3. Sounds like a piece of cake, but in real life a special clause says your game will be fulfilled through mail by January 18, 2008.

So, say timmy wants a new x box and saw this, shows dad about it and gets it for christmas... Now Timmy opens it up on Christmas and gets the x box but can't play the game that he wanted because Gates says no.
Good way to get people to upgrade, but bad way to keep people happy

Almost an interesting deal until the thing about through the mail. I can see potentially hundreds of issues with this.

lol yea like get an xbox now and have to wait for a month or so to get the Halo3 game to play hehe. Well they can always grab something else for them or their son to play for now until then they will recieve the game. Not to mention lots of them will have their mail stolen around the month of January. But anyway, yea since I don't have the 360 this sounds interesting to me and I might go for it.

Microsoft is trying to do something here, and they're offering Halo 3 for free when you buy an Xbox 360 and some people are still complaining. That's saving you $60 right there, and one of the best games for the Xbox 360.

i remember you could always get mario cart, plus mario world, and maybe even another game bundled with the snes.... it'd been out for a while at that point, but still. january 18th... more like may 18th. you know how the mail-in-rebates go...
