for sure, I was tempted for a minute to get it for my fiance's pc but it has an HP OEM mobo with no BIOS control...so that means I'd have to get the mobo too, and then ram to make the whole thing worthwhile lol so I'd be spending more money than I can right now

If I was more sure about the costs, and safety of the hard drives in trans-continental shipping, I'd likely buy them off you, 'cos all those parts are cheaper than in the UK, even for used, and especially the HDDs. £25 per hard drive equivalent is brilliant.

the Opty has twice the cache...and of course a better core, as most 3800X2's were manchester cores. Having had both in my DFI rig...Id personally go with the Opty. Testing is slichtly better with the extra cache, plus when OCing the opty took less volts to accomplish the same OC. I could acctually undervolt my Opty 170 up to 2.7GHz as it hit this speed stock without a hiccup.

Considering that opty will do 2.8 with 1.375 (stock is 1.35) the opty is better. They don't make any more. It is a damn nice chip.

I went from an Opti 165@2.8 to a E6850 and, until I O/Cd the E6850, I really could not tell that much of a difference.
So Opti FTW

a Pair of Klipsch 2.0 Speakers.

$100new, $60 plus ship from me.
They are currently hooked up to my computer as they sound better than my x-540's for music.
