Sony and Nintendo expected to drop prices

According to spong.com, Sony is going to drop the price of the slim PS2 to £60-£70 (~$100-120) in the UK this Christmas shopping season to compete with the Xbox 360 launch. There's no word if other European, US, or Japan markets will see the drop.

Nintendo is also expected to drop the price of the already cheap GameCube, as well as introduce the new Zelda game for the GC. It's also expected they'll offer bundle packages that include Resident Evil 4 and Mario Kart. The $300+ Xbox 360 (with no or only one game and only one controller out of the box) will be a harder sell this holiday season.
