Looking for radeon 3870 512mb in the uk I cant seem to find any from reliable sources

any pointers ?

I wish mate. I've been looking everywhere for them. Most places are either out of stock, or on pre-orders. Doesn't look like we'll get one before Xmas

I nearly bought a 3850 512mb from ebuyer for £115 but i think i will hold off.

i have one on ebay if u really want one and cant find any.. decided i dont want two and simply tying to get near my costs back.. they are pre order on OK/UK at 164 quid and so many pence

look closer and u will find they have none in stock and dont know when they will have.. they dont mind u buying what they dont have thow.. no loss to them..

as i say i have one for those that really want one.. bit dearer than 145 quid thow but as they say a bird in the hand is worth more than a bird on pre-order..

u can get the 3850s it seems but not the 3870s.. that many places have them on pre-order that when a few do show up they go instantly..

the realities of supply and demand basically mean that looking for the cheapest in town is a waste of time when demand exceeds supply..

I got one from Overclockers, then sold it to Trog at cost price for him to have Xfire. Lol just seen that he is selling it.....I want 50% of any profit!

he he he.. the crossfire idea never worked tatty.. nice single card but at least for me crossfire is a waste of space.. sooo that leaves me with one spare MSI K9A2 CF 790x chipset mobo and one spare HIS 3870 card.. both are on ebay..

still if i hadnt have tried i would still be wondering..

Why not save yourself £25 minimum and get the 512mb 3850 from ebuyer.

According to TPU's review the difference between a midly clocked 3850 512mb model and the 3870 is minimal anyway.
