TwinMOS Introduces DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM for Laptops

The pursuit of convenience and efficiency has become a new consumer’s lifestyle. For this reason, the laptop, or notebook PC, has gradually replacing desktop PC and becoming consumer’s choice. Following the launch of the Windows Vista, which has higher memory storage performance requirements, memory modules with higher capacity and speed have thus become the standard requirement for consumers. However, when the speed of memory modules evolved from SDR through DDR to DDR2 and even DDR3, leading wafer manufacturers like Micron Technology, Elpida Memory, and Qimonda AG had their DDR 3 chips development certified with Intel, TwinMOS R&D team remain devoted to technological and quality enhancement. The latter had launched close cooperation with leading wafer manufacturers to develop and design the new-generation, high-speed DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM. This demand fulfill high-level memory module consumption by new generation laptops.

With previous development of the high-level DDR3-1333 module for desktops, TwinMOS introduces the high-level DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM for laptops. This new-generation DDR3 SO-DIMM module for laptops uses the 8-bit pre-fetch design. As it is a double of the DDR2 modules, the clock frequency begins from 800MHz and can be increased to 1066MHz and 1333MHz. Prior to this, its 204-pin design platform is different from the 200-pin design in DDR2 modules for laptops. Thanks to the evolution in die processes, the working voltage of DDR3 modules for laptops has been reduced from 1.8V of DDR2 modules for laptop to 1.5V. Indeed, the laptop’s battery life can be extended. This DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM for laptops uses high-quality genuine die from original manufacturers packaged with the FBGA (Fine-Pitch Ball Grid Array) technology to deliver better cooling and electrical performances. The ODT (on-die-termination) can effectively ensure signal integrity by reducing signal feedback when the module is running at high speed. With ASR (auto self-refresh) design, it intelligently reduce the refreshing frequency of memory modules thus effectively reduce the temperature and power consumption of the module to conserve energy.

Consumers can enjoy a worldwide lifetime warranty for all memory modules manufactured by TwinMOS. In addition to quality assurance, they can enjoy permanent warranty services from a globally operated module manufacturer. TwinMOS has been a major module supplier of world leading system manufacturers. In response to the lead-free process movement across the world, all production lines of TwinMOS comply with the RoHS environmental regulations announced by the EU. This demonstrate TwinMOS’ dedication and commitment to co-operate social responsibility to promote a greener earth.
  • Product features 8-bit pre-fetch design
  • Ultra high frequency at 1333MHz with the 204-pin design
  • 8-layer PCB design
  • FBGA package and ASR design
  • High compatibility and reliability
