Here's a link to previous Linux drivers.

The one listed next to September should be the 7.9 - they number them as year.month.

Edit: Direct link to the driver I think you're after.

Edit2: I think they've only just started using the same numbering scheme for Linux as for Windows, so in theory there is no such thing as a 7.9 Linux Catalyst driver.

Weird, 7.9 (and .8's) didn't work for me, but 7.11's work brilliantly - completely stable. D'you have Fast Writes disabled dude?

The steps I'd take would be...

1.) Enter your BIOS and make sure, AGP Speed is at 8x (if this option is available).

2.) Disable AGP Fast Writes - this can usually cause conflicts.

3.) Once you've saved and rebooted, when y'back in Windows, uninstall all the ATi driver malarkey and then use the driver cleaner to remove any excess.

4.) Reboot...

5.) Again, once back in Windows, ignore the Hardware Detection windows and double click 7.11's - if it doesn't work after all of that, then go back to the 7.9's.

Are you getting any BSODs as well?

I think all of the modern CCC software requires the .Net framework - you should really read the release notes.

Have you got the 7.11's working yet?
