Arctic Cooling Launches Accelero S1 Rev. 2

The Accelero S1 Rev. 2 dramatically extends the compatibility to many of the latest graphic cards. It supports high-end to main stream graphic cards including the latest hot selling Radeon HD 3870, 3850 , GeForce 8800GTS (G92) and 8800GT.

The Accelero S1 Rev. 2 now comes with a new flexible mounting mechanism, multiple screw hole sets and modifications to the heatpipes enabling it to fit a wider range of leading graphic cards. As a result more gamers can benefit from adopting the Accelero S1 Rev. 2 which dramatically improves their gaming experience.

To provide passive cooling for high-end graphic cards, Accelero S1 Rev. 2 is a high performance passive cooler featuring 4 heatpipes connected with extra large surface area. It effectively removes a great deal of heat from the graphic cards keeping the components cool. Thanks to the elegant design, Accelero S1 Rev. 2 outperforms active cooling solutions. Accelero S1 Rev. 2 creates a true industry leading zero noise cooling solution for all enthusiast gamers.
  • Noiseless Cooling
  • 4 Heat Pipes
  • Special Heat Spreader for Voltage Regulator Cooling
  • Memory Cooling
  • High Reliability
  • Low Weight
  • 6 Years Warranty

The cold air is drawn from outside to cool the fins directly:

The fins design optimize for air ventilation that enhance cooling performance:

Accelero S1 Rev. 2 features 4 thick copper heatpipes which connect directly from the GPU core. The heatpipes with sintered powder wicks provide ultimate heat conductivity. Heat from the GPU is rapidly dissipated through 32 fins that extend beyond the height of the graphic card. Optimized fin design allows better air flow thus removing the heat more effectively. Together with the bundled RAM heat sinks and voltage regulator heat spreader, Accelero S1 Rev. 2 provides an all-round passive solution that achieves the best cooling performance.

Install and forget about it – No moving parts means it is maintenance free. An extra pair of mounting clips provides extensive protection to the graphic card that prevents damage from improper handling. With the help of the new mounting design, Accelero S1 Rev. 2 is widely compatible with high end ATI and nVIDIA graphic cards.

Accelero S1 Rev. 2 can still be paired with the Turbo Module – the twin fans add-on, which further increases the potential power of Accelero S1 Rev. 2 with enhanced cooling performance under extremely quiet operation. Turbo Module helps boost up the GPU and memory overclockability, squeezing more graphic performance than ever before.

Seems like they have not added more memory sinks to use for VRM area. If it was same high as the card, it would be so much better (looking, more usable, not cooler) and fit my case too. Of course you could ghetto mod it by cutting some fins of and then bendig end of the pipes

it comes with ramsinks in the package.

Bit silly tho, as the rev 1 works perfectly on my 8800GT in my mini system i havent finalised the OC yet, so i havent added it into the specs/pics yet.

Whoa...you mean you've got a GT running...PASSIVE...with those temps?
Jesus!!!

I'm looking to grab a new heatsink for my GTS - think this heatsink is worth it? Is the "turbo" module worth it? (I'd otherwise grab a duorb or similar...but rob the duorb since the HR-03 weighs so much)

Thanks!

the GT's are actually a cool running card... the stock cooler is merely crap.

I'm not sure if a GTS runs any hotter, and my mini system certainly has airflow in the general region of the heatsink. The turbo module is only needed if you have no caseflow in the area.
