Google has released its own IM: Google Talk

Google has now released Google Talk, which basically is an IM like MSN Messenger, ICQ or Yahoo! Messenger. It has the same features as all of these, but does not come with any picture ads. You use your gmail account info to log into Google Talk. It is simple, straight forward, nothing fancy. There is no side bars with stock info, no picture ads on the buttom of every window. It does exacly what it is meant to do.

You can "call" people with very high quality VOIP.
