How to delete a folder if XP says it will make some programs not work?

From time to time I have seen that message pop up in XP when i try to delete a folder, i would like to know how to get rid of it anyway. Currently i'm trying to remove a folder with an older version of HJT, i have a newer version and would like to install it instead. Does anyone know if its ok to delete it or there is some other way?

yeah just delete it, xp just picks up that theres an .exe and warns you that the folder contains a program.

afaik hjt is stand alone and runs from its own folder without installing it, if this is the case then just delete it, if you had to install it then uninstall it via add/remove programs.

Yeah, you are right, this older version of HJT is a stand alone program, i just put it in a folder to keep things organized, the new one has to be installed. I'll delete it like you said, thanks for the tip
