Fan control is no longer handled by the kernel mode driver, this means you have to start ATITool to load fan settings

Oh..why ? Thats why i only use AtiTool to edit the fan Speeds..now i must start AtiTool after Reebot to reactivate my on Speeds..not fine! I dont want to start AtiTool everytime but i must edit my FanSpeeds!

Before this new Version i only have to edit the FanSpeeds one time ...better...
When all new Version have this FanControl Mode i cant use AtiTool anymore.
Damn AtiTrayTool/RivaTuner also have this..

No good ...
PLEASE...can you add a specific option to let handle the Fan Speed by KernelDriver ??

sure...i know!

With 0.25b1 i only have to edit 1 time the FanSpeeds and then i have them intergated in my System until i uninstall AtiTool ....Thats better for me because I dont want to start AtiTool everytime...

Also with 0.25b1 the FanSpeeds are reaching earlier at system start because they
are loaded earlier from KernelDriver

I would be very gratefull when you can add this "little Option" to let control the FanSpeed by the KernelDriver

Bug? When i install atitool (clean or with old profile.ini) and change frequency of mem and core to sometning else as default and then close ati (so the frequency stays changed) and uninstall ati and when i installed it back, atitool read that current frequency of core and mem as default frequency of my card.

It happened when i forgot to set the frequency in my "old" atitool v0.25b1 back to default before i unistalled it (my default is 275/270 but when i dont play games (not using 3d) atitool load a profile where the friquency are 220/220). And then i unistalled atitool (i switched from 0.25b1 to 0.25b3) and atitool (0.25b3) was reading default friqunecy of mem and core as 220/220 and NOT 275/270. I'm using a (old) Fic Radeon9500Pro..
Can someone confirm this?

I have no more fan control, beta 2 and beta 3 show NO fan or tempurature dialogues at all...

:'(

Any tips on fixing this?

nb: yes, I did uninstall beta1, reboot, install beta2/3 and it doesn't make a difference. I also "reactivate all dialogues"... doesn't help.

Please help.

Nvida 7800 GTX

"find max core" is finding core speeds much higher than the 2d slider allows for.

basically the core speeds for all 3 settings are maxing at 524.

edit: nevermind I see the scale is self correcting. I noticed Howeve, that the max OC set my OC too high for stability. Even with lowest OC setting it sets me at 521 core / 695.5 mem which is a bit too much for intensive 3d games.

It crashes on 7800 GT when choosing Gamma Control (Forceware 77.77) and every time I close the program. And many, many problems (0 MHz core/memory, Memory Type: SDR, Memory Size: 0 MB, 0 pipelines etc).

ok... i had a similar problem... firstly i can confirm the fact that gpu & mem default speed stay the same as the o/c in previous version. I also had the problem with the fan. env temp shot upto 55 deg C in idle while gpu hovered around 37 deg C. Had a look, and the fan was not spinning. Found the solution is to uninstall (make sure u del old settings) reboot reinstall. Mine also said driver couldnt be found so reboot and worked. Fan worked as well and idle is now
gpu :31 deg C
env: 32 deg C

hope this helps
