help me overclock my E6750
ok i just got a new rig and it has and asus x38 mobo in it allso i have the asus silent knightII for cooling my cpu is runing @3.61 right now without voltage increase with a 450 fbs and ram @1080 from 1000.
so how do i get it to go higher i have never overclocked befor so i tryed to up the voltage but it dosent seem to work the system hangs every time. |

I doubt you are stable without voltage increase at that...
Download Orthos and run it, probably see an error within 5 minutes. Honestly most people quit on those around 3000-3200, they only have an 8x multiplier, so turn its a e6420 with a 1333mhz bus and G0 stepping. To get 3200 stable I can run at 1.2 volts, to get to 3600 stable I need to bring it up to 1.45 volts.

ok so i whent into the bio and uped the volts to 1.45 where it said vcore is that the right place bc on cpu-z it says it's at 1.368 v

Might want to read this while your at it here...
