Gears Of War for PC

hello

hi what u think about the game Gears Of War? for pc.. is it similar to xbox experience? and one more thing, i kinda heard that people with "good" pc's have lags on it? i personally have radeon 2900 and 2gb ram and yes.. it lags on maximum settings but i can adjust it to run smooth without compromising.
tell me pls, what specification you need to run it on max? n smooth? seems that GoW is kinda heavier that Crysis graphically. correct?
well, thank you very much

I dont know about graphics, but i have it it lags a lot but i dont think it has anything to do with the card. runs the same on high as it does on low for me, but its the exact same as the 360's version exept on pc, so if you have it on 360 dont buy it for pc its not worth the extra chapter. other than that its fun, and thats what i think XD

it runs great on mine, really smooth even on highest settings. even on my old x1900xt 256mb it ran smooth as long as i kept the resolution under 1680x1050. tbh i thought it was quite an easy game to run, its definitely nowhere near crysis!

It is buggy, but with that aside and comparing it to the 360, its the exact same thing but with some more story added to it. You get to face the Brumack in the PC one.

I play GOW on 2048x1536 on my system with 62FPS at all times ( never lower! ).

Only thing I had to do is disable shadows, that's it.

It runs gate, it looks great and it plays great + you can use your xbox controller if you want.

True that. IMHO, you have to give any game at least 15-30 minutes of gameplay before you can judge as its usually just trying to get you used to the game at first.

I didn't like it too much, I hate when they make console games into pc games with out changing the controls all that much, that and I hate the fact that I cant jump. They did the same thing with scarface, I felt like I was playing the dam game on a console

My first HOUR was spent trying to work out why it kept crashing after the first level.

Any game that gives me that much trouble gets taken off my list of games to play. Especially as the ONLY fix I could find was to skip all cutscenes.

Not only that, but the damn "over the right shoulder" view is horrible, I am a lover of third-person shooters (more so than first person). The view point itself destroyed the game for me.

You all have your own opinions, that's fine, but the fact I can't see what's happening on my immediate left without having to turn is not only annoying, but totally unwarranted.

If there is some mod that moves the view point let me know and I will seriously reconsider playing the game.

I dont see a need to jump in that game anyway. And even if you did, it wouldnt be that high anyway just for the sheer fact that those suits they wear look super ass heavy. You woudlnt be able to jump to well anyway.
