new keyboard - spacebar scrolls by itself ???????

i have a new keyboard (NEXXTECH - NKB) i've been using it for a week now and its working great but today i noticed that when im looking at a website and i touch the space bar it automatically fast scrolls to the bottom of the web page. it uses windows drivers which i checked and they say they are up to date.

i never noticed this before but i've been preoccupied with other things and this may have been doing it all along but i never websurfed untill today when i noticed it.

my 5 yr old keyboard didnt do this, is it supposed to scroll to the bottom when i press spacebar?

It depends on the browser mostly. I'm using Opera 9.5 beta, and my space bar scrolls, as if it were the Page Down key, but once it reaches the end of the page, it emulates clicking the Fast Forward button (Opera feature, can automagically click links saying "Next", or else, if the URL has a number near the end, it can increment the number, to go to the next page, if there is a next page available, or something)

Thats normal with new KBs and some softwares support keyboard multimedia buttons+adding additional tasks to specific keys.Usually space bar is used to scroll too.Thats kinda normal.Mine does too.

On IE, most keyboards I've used you can also use the backspace key for the back button. Haven't tried it on FF since I have the plugin to just right click and drag to the left for the page back function.

my dads 5yr old dell also scrolls with spacebar so hmmm... but i had a basic $10 memorex keyboard (the 104 key kind) so maybe that was it

i spend 2-3 hours a day every day on my computer so i doubt it was just something i never noticed before.
