where do you think your vote will go in the 2008 elections, im personally leaning towards obama, he is a very itelligent man, he may lack some experience but i think that he is the best choice in my opinion, i am a moderate, i hate hilary with a passion, and im not to big of a fan with the republicans atm, so who deserves to win and why?

Really? You don't like Hillary? I thought with your avatar you would lean more toward socialism, and her other collectivist ideas. Obama isn't as bad in that regard, I still don't care for all the "free" money the "Democrats" like to throw around. The Republicans seems to have many socialistic leanings these days too, especially McCain who, despite his heavy protests otherwise, is not really a Republican.
I personally like Ron Paul, but his chances are slim to none. We need drastic change in our economic and global policies and he is the only one to have promised those. I sort of like Huckabee's economic policies since they sort of mirror Ron Paul's, but I fear his overly strong religious background may cause future problems. You needn't worry to much about the Republicans, Ron Paul appears to be the only candidate who is for withdrawal from Iraq at the moment. With many of the populace leaning towards withdrawal, I think their choice not to end the "conflict" will be a nail in their coffin come election time. The Republican's party inability to field a front running candidate that follows the traditional ideals of the party will only further alienate their base. Traditional Republican's are not the hawks, and pseudo Republicans that the Bushs and other candidates have been in the last decade or two.

i just think hilary is a very fake person, she is brillient and so is bill but i feel taht obama is the better choice, i agree that something needs to be done about the economy and our global polocies especially, granted i do like a few of huckabee's ideas, i just feel like obama is the least likely to allow religion and other factors influence his decision making, as for my avatar it just gives me a chuckle, communism is a good idea on paper it just could never be effectily applied to real life

I'll be honest, I haven't done that much research, but from what I heard, I'd personally vote Obama into office.

Not voting because you are informed of the options, and they all insult your ideals is better than voting because Hillary has the best smile, or some other nonsense. Or because the talking heads on CNN said Obama was the best.

Google/Youtube Ron Paul. He even advocates keeping the internet deregulated if that floats your boat. If you don't like the patriot act and all the other unconstitutional laws that have been passed recently he is one of the few people who voted against them. He is the only candidate left running that voted against the Iraq war besides Huckabee and Huckabee was a governor so he couldn't vote for or against the war. He's a ten term congressman who hasn't changed his views since he first started, which is very refreshing when you compare him to all the other wind-up toy, flip flopping candidates running.

Personally, I will vote for Hilary Clinton and its not because she's a woman, she seems to be the most level headed. Every other candidate keeps doing their I promise I will do this crap which always leads to problems. I would really love to vote for obama but when I look at the way his wife acts I just can't, If you go back and look at the way she acts, she acts like a stone cold thug and I even went to one of their rally's and have seen her and thats what she acts like a god damn thug so I keep thinking, if his wife acts like that then what is this man's true personality like, I know he isn't his wife but it makes you think.
I really wanted to vote for obama but the way he uses the word change makes me think that he is only counting on the fact that he's black to win and I don't care if the person is black or white, female or male, as long as they can get the job done fairly I am happy, but his use of that word so vigorously shows me that he is riding his election on the fact that he is black and that is wrong, it just dosen't feel right knowing that the election was won based on a persons color alone. Hilary clinton however is a strong person to me and I think she can get the job done. If John McCain wasn't such a god damn racist I would vote for him because he is a strong minded guy but he is just so racist it disgusts me, and ron paul just didn't cut it in the primary I say for me. |

I am not 100 percent confident yet, but I am starting to lean toward Obama. I need to do some more research though.
I guess this doesn't matter if Clinton gets the nomination. |

Ron Paul and a few other candidates will be appearing on MTV and taking questions from the audience. It's on right now.

MTV anything but the music, but this may be a good thing it may actually get the younger people to get interested about politics and actually make an educated vote, god knows there are a bunch of shitty punk rock bands out there complaining about the government, now this may actually help them make an informed decision and change things for the better

My cousin who lives in Michigan aggressively campaigns for Ron Paul. I don't know much about him but from what I hear, he is very progressive and prioritizes on the basics and wants to uplift the US economy from the losses in the wars and recession in general. He seems more of a leader than politician while Obama and Hillary are the other way round.

republican or bust, i dont care which one, but if a dem wins im gonna spend the next 4 years south of the boarder, so i dont have to watch the nation go straigt to the can.
Downsize the military, repleal the patriot act, abandon Iraq, disban TSA and return the airports to civilian control, these are the plans of the dems, and the unlimate downfall of our very nation. Go ahead electe that bitch Hiliary, and wait to see this nation fall, elect obama and in a year the quran will be required reading. I can not call myself an American if a dem wins and starts to tear apart national secruity agian like jack ass bill did. I will not assicate myself with this nation at that point and will immigrate. Because as screwed up as Mexico is, its gotta be better than living under a defenseless government. |

I consider myself to be a Democrat, but I feel a lot more comfortable with McCain rather than a very long list of other Republicans. I don't think Huckabee would be a good choice as VP. McCain isn't exactly a young man, god forbid something happened to him...I think a lot of people would be very uncomfortable with the idea of a President Huckabee, because of the deeply religious statements he has made. There is nothing wrong with religion, but the way he speaks makes it sound as if he wants to inject religion into the Constitution and government. As for the Democratic side, a lot of people have been talking about Obama/Clinton or vice versa. I don't really see that happening either way. If Clinton is the nominee, I'd love to see a Clinton/Biden ticket. If Obama got the nomination I'd like a Obama/Edwards ticket. I'd be really happy with either of those, specifically Clinton/Biden. Joe Biden is a very smart man, especially when it comes to foreign policy. |
