E8500 release date?

I've been told that the E8500 has already been released but I can't find it anywhere.

Are there any places where I can get it? (US dollars)

When will Newegg have it available?

I might actually buy the E8400 but Newegg's price isn't very good.

Well if it is being released at the same time as the Q9450, I might as well pick one up.

Because I'm not going to overclock. because... I don't know how.

intel basically dont want many 45nm chips being sold yet.. they have no problems with the QX9650 cos the price makes sure that dosnt sell in real numbers..

if they didnt release as promised rumours would fly and share prices would drop.. releasing but holding supplies back till they are ready to stop selling the 65nm chips proves they are on target and keeps the markets happy....

what they sell now already walks all over amds offerings.. in essence they are in no rush to replace something that is good enough as it is..

no ones knows when they will appear in real numbers.. the E8500 has been the really short one.. not that many want it over the 8400 but those that do cant get it..

my crystal ball tells me the quads will dry up after the first initial batch as well.. so pre-order if u really want one..

Well, wouldn't it be the right time to learn how. You'll never regret it, and the reward is a great hobby and always getting the most out of your money. Not to mention that tpu is a great place to learn how to OC properly.

Well are there any tutorials?

Also, doesn't overclocking void the warranty?
