Facebook Losing Popularity in England

Social networking giant Facebook has suffered it's first drop in members since the site was conceived, probably due to the fact that users now have a way to delete their accounts. Since January, Facebook has lost a whopping 5% of all user accounts. Why, exactly, Facebook popularity is going down the tube is a matter of speculation, at the moment. It could be that some inconsiderate Facebook application developers force users to spam their friends before they can make the application do anything. Users could simply have become tired of getting an E-mail every time they're bitten by a vampire. Perhaps Facebook was just a passing fad, and people have come to accept that it's time to move on from the social networking site.

i hate em both but if i had to choose i would go with myspace just because its a bit of an html playground, that and you can write shit in your blog that no one gives a damn about

I get tonnnsss of notifications and requests on facebook, but none of them make it to my e-mail unless its a friend invite. That piece of information about getting bitten by a vampire is only if you have the stupid ass application to begin with. Facebook is here to stay for a while, for any of you folks who are in college and go to a big school you know what I'm talking about. Even people you don't know you met, will facebook you. And its a way to just expand your circle.

I'm not trying to defend it, but as a 4th semester sophomore in college, i find it very useful.

Thank god! now the internet may still be running in 10 years! lol.. I have a myspace that has collected dust ever since I broke up with my ex-fiance. There was no need for it. Still isn't in my eyes, but my parents want us to have one for every kid..

i never got the whole myspace, facebook thing, if i have something to say about my life, i wouldn't want to post it on the internet of all places, and if i needed to talk to someone, i could use aim, or call them, mainly because if you not in those 2 sources then i dont really want to talk to you (tpu excluded) i hated all those stupid little annoying applications in face book, and with myspace its always omg, this person thinks he/she is an individual by posting 50 copies of the same damn picture of he/she looking in to the camera wants to be your friend, i dont get the point of adding people you dont know, bands i get, but not random people you dont care about nor ever heard of, that or someone wants to hack you r account or what not

i hate my hospital, have to go the the other side of town, the only place my insurance will cover, they have great food though, they stitched my toe back on pretty nicely, and my shattered leg healed nicely thanks to them, so hates a bad word, i just dont like having to go across town to get emergency medical service, although you do meet a lot of nice cool people there with awesome stories as to why they are there

toe and leg? what happened man! The hospital I work at, is by far the best one I've ever went to. We get people coming from different work places just to eat our food. I sell anywhere between 75-100 items on the grill in the 2 and a half hours its open at lunch. All freshly made, and the only thing that is not from scratch is the pizza dough.

i cut off my toe with a sword when i was younger at my dads house, so ill like ohh geeze (i used much more explicit language at the time) my toe has been severed, not all the way though but about 3/4, so my dad being the brilliant responsible parent he is decide the best course of action is to wrap it in a towel and wrap duct tape around it, me being young but still having some common sense suggested "dad why dont we go to the hospital" where he replied, oh son it will heal its self, and besides my insurance wont cover this trip to emergency room (his earnings statement for the year were in the millions)---btw i translated this into "im an insensitive cheap prick", skip a few hours of pointless dialog, and he sent me off to school the next day, i wasn't at school for more than 20 min before my toe bandage sprung a leak and they called my mom, after a short explanation she picked my up from school, and it was a 30 min drive to the hospital, where probably the best doctor ive ever had was waiting for me, once i arrived he greeted me with morphine and a bit of a chuckle, long story short, i got 90 some stitches, and a skin graph from my ass on my big toe on my right foot, thats the short version of the toe story, as for the leg, i was with a few friends, one night, and i was getting late, and this one crazy chick i know, took something i mein, don't remember what, but i wanted it back, and she was about to leave, so i hopped on the hood of her car (it wasn't moving at the time) but once i did so she floored it, got up to about 20-25 then slammed on eh brakes, i few for a good 10 feet before my head hit the pavement<---that part was fun, the flying part, they i was knocked out for a few secs<---also fun kinda... long story short figured out i could nt walk, told my ma that i fell down some stairs, she didn't believe me, and the next day we took a trip to see my fav doctor

as for the menu they have all the healthy favs, cheese curds, burgers, beer battered brots, Italian, a few Mongolian dishes, chicken and turkey, and the best mashed potatoes ive ever had, and a salad bar and all that stuff, same around here, people come just for the cheap awesome food, as for the rooms, the beds are comfortable, and they have more channels then i have at home, and they are roomy, they have a futon for family members in the room, and a privately owned motel thing that they rent out very cheaply

crazy man! glad to see your still in one piece! and alive! was filming a film for my media class, and my friends didn't think right about timing one another with the car.. so long story short, A friend jumped to roll off the car while moving, car to fast... Hospital visit with scars in the head... With windshield broken..
Funny thing is that we got A+ and had the rest of the semester to goof off! traumatized!

lol ya i kinda did the same thing but for shits and giggles, me and gsg-9 had a bet to see if he could jump over my jeep while it was movie(not the brightest bet), long story short i was going 15 downhill he was running up hill, he jumped over the hood and into the windshield, smashed my windshield, and walked away without a scratch, told my mom a gravel truck did it

It's all the silly useless applications... It used to be very simple and not bloated and then this happened...

Facebook was great up to when they added applications, the stupidest move they have made. Everyday now i get spamed with join this or join that. I only have 3 apps that i have added that i like, that is the Xfire app, the car app, and the where i've been app. I might add the last.fm app as i do use last.fm alot.

Facebook doesnt have god awful clutter and crap music that blares from speakers, its simple and 10x easier to find people from the past. But they do that some of the lamest applications ever. Turn off the sending to email and you basically never have to look at them, they are kept in one tab(as opposed to the old line em up all along the side of your "home" page) and just run through and delete em all at once. Every time i visit myspace, i want to kill myself. However i am not surprised that it is losing popularity, many people hate the applications as do i. I use the where i have been and some simple free games and thats it.

I prefer facebook over Myspace anyday. GFacebook is still improving vastly on its features so we may yet be able to customize our bacgrounds and such. And besides my account on Myspace has already been hacked once I wont let that happen again. Plus on Myspace you just get more virus attacks than you probably got in the rest of your lifetime. In the last month ive been on myspace i probably have had a combinced total of over 80 attacks that were bl;ocked by my Antivirus program. acebook is just better than Myspace if simply just for security concerns.
