Shuttle Introduces Attractive Mini-PC Solution for Demanding Gamers
Shuttle Inc, in the run-up to CeBIT, is now supplying a Mini-PC Complete System specifically suited to gamers with its optimally-tuned configuration.
     "The high performance of the specially selected components is particularly striking”, explained Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. “Our proven Heatpipe-Cooling System with its automatic rotational control is supported in this Mini-PC through the 'OASIS' chipset cooling which is also based on Heatpipes. The XPC P2 3500G is based on the aluminium-manufactured XPC Barebone SP35P2 Pro and uses an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor with four cores. Four Gigabyte DDR2-800 quality memories from takeMS (Model: TMS2GB264C081-805) ensure no waiting times in dual-channel mode. A fast 750 GB Serial-ATAII Samsung hard disk (Model: Spinpoint F DT Series HD753LJ) with 32 MB cache also contains additional memory capacity. It easily accommodates the HD-capable ATI Radeon HD3870 graphics card with 512 MB and also the current DirectX-10 games. Shuttle provides an integrated fingerprint scanner for those enthusiastic users who use the high system performance for better working and who value the extra security highly. The Mini-PC with its high-quality finish is available now as a bundle package with Wireless-LAN, a DVD burner and a 25-in-1 card reader and pre-installed Windows Vista. For servicing the Complete System purchaser of the can make use of the 24 month Pick-up-and-Return-Service and a Europe-wide free telephone hotline. Shuttle’s recommended price is EUR 1,450. That's not that bad. Shuttle makes great stuff. Wonder what kind of PSU it has. Think it'd be a full ATX PSU?

That they do GJSNeptune. Although the price is a little steep. The case is top notch though and its got some choice hardware. Wonder why they didnt opt for an AMD option and an Nvidia 8800 GT/GTS (g92) 9600 card?

Even though I'm mad about my Shuttle (and SFFs) I must admit the lack of room has brought me to move back to ATX however that doesn't mean I have to go back to a stupidly large chassis. The great thing about Shuttles is the fact they can fit all the performance of a tower into something the size of a shoebox.
Yeah it's expensive but you're paying for innovation not a name. However, these pre-built Shuttles to me, defeat the point of building one. That's where the fun is for me. However, their target audience are people that are looking for a high-performance machine without the large foot print. For that they have to pay a premium price - then again, the chassis, the motherboard and PSU are included in that. So, depending where you buy it from, it is relatively good valve for money, well the barebone(s) anyway.

That's why I'm going to a Lian-Li A05b from a PC-65b. Way smaller but just enough room for ATX and even a Tuniq Tower.

Weirdly that's the exact case I'm moving too. It's so fuckin' awesome I'm buying it now before I even need it just so I can look at it and start my modding. It's only to be completely ninja.
