The AMD 780G based boards that came out recently ship with the SB700 southbridge.

It can be inferred from this article that there's a clock-generator defect issue with the SB700. AMD has rolled out a revised SB710 with the issue fixed. Thought you could know if a 780G board is planned by some of you.

Interesting, i just hope that mobo makers put it on the box that their product contains the revised SB, cause a lot of times retailers don't know what revision a certain component is and the buyer doesnt find out until its installed.

Whoa. Hell of a secret launch for SB700. I want a 790FX/SB710 AM2+ board!!!

Are you sure AMD didn't just revise the SB700?

Well I guess it wasn't secret...but I never noticed!
