Annoyed with my Visiontek HD3870

LOL. I dk why my card is so diff then others, or does everyone has such a low oc room like me, i cannot move my memory in overdrive core only goes to 840... So i been using other things to oc my card with but they don't seem to work. I even tried bios flashing few times using diff clocks like 860 core and stock 1200mem.

Even then core goes back to limit of overdrive has to 837 while using a diff bios. I'm lost as to what to do.. Any suggestions. Here is pic of CCC. I have tried not unlocking overdrive, no diff..

No pic...

That cooler on that card leaves one memory chip uncooled. Doubt that's making that much of a difference, though.

Use Rivatuner and set the fan speed at the highest that you can stand it. That will aid in OCing.

Edit: There's the pic.

Dont use CCC. I can barely do 750 on the core in it. Use RivaTuner or ATiTool.

Since you're in XP, use ATiTool for Overclocking. Use Rivatuner for fan speeds.

I been trying everything, atitool just locks up on me all the time for no reason, i never use it no more also it gave me artifacts at stock speeds, when i used tester. I do use Rivatuner. As u can see i cannot even oc my memory in overdrive.. Also tried the powerplay fix why my core is oc'd and temps are normal fan is set to 60%...

If i oc it now 1 mhz my temps will jump to 54 or so and stay there until I restart...

let it automatically find the most stable ocs. Thats what its best for. If all else fails, you could try a volt mod, though someone on here toasted their His ICEQ3 Turbo card.

Are you referring to me? I revived mine from thegrave with booze...rubbing alcohol that is. Or did someone else fry theirs? Mine's not a Turbo, so I'm guessing someone else.
