Actually, for their firestix they do. I believe for their regular stuff, its promos or elpida.

From everything I read, this is correct. There was supposed to be a small batch of Elpida high binned chips at one point, but they are rare. A buffalo rep all but confirmed this.

I just spoke to a very nice tech support Rep at Buffalo. She confirmed that these sticks are definately D9's. They are going to get back to me with some sub timings...

System Specs

I have got few regular buffalo sticks and all the chips on the sticks are labelled Buffalo. They might be a re-labelled chip.

I have seen 100's of Buffalo sticks at Microcenter and from those I have seen to pick mine never seen a stick that has some other chip other than their own.

On the other hand Crucials have those D9s.
