9600gt problems

thought i would post a thread about this since i cant for the life of me figure out why its doing this.

my BFG 9600gt keeps on going to a black screen, but only in a majority of my games (Bioshock seems oddly unaffected) i normally get about 5 minutes of gametime in before it crashes. Though the other day it worked for over an hour and then crashed, i am beyond confused at this point.

My Machine is:

Intel Pentium D 3.00ghz
2 gigs of ram
8600gt (my old card which is now still living in my system)
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme audio (they do go a little overboard with the names dont they)
and a 160gig hdd

my psu (since i read that they could be the problem but i cant for life of me know what to look for) is a coolermaster 650 watt, closest i could get to finding it was a newegg link

aww, thanks for the help.

Its just mainly annoying because of the bioshock thing, i mean i've experienced no problems with that in any way, yet if i open something up like css or cod4 almost instant death

eep completely forgot about that sorry.

and to ktr, i've ran drivercleaner and i've tried installing the beta drivers and the stock ones but neither one have worked.
