which mobo should i get?
im looking at:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813127031 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131189 it says in both these specs that it accepts C2D procs and i have the e4500 which has an 800fsb but in the specs of these two mobos it says 1066 and 1333 only, not 800. will it still work with my proc? i mean it says it supprots pentiums, so why wouldnt it my allenel core C2D 800fsb proc? could that be the problem i was having with my gigabit p35 DS3L, which also said 10666/1333fsb in the specs? |

I have a Gigabyte P35C-DS3R and i was same when i bought that because it didn't mention 800MHz FSB and at the time i had a Pentium D 915 3.0GHz, but it worked no problem and i guess it will be same with those plus the e4500is a popular processor, and there are lots of 800MHz FSB C2Ds so i would say a 99% chance that it will support 800MHz FSB. Or just have a look on the product website at CPU support List.

it does show the lowest is a 1066FSB support. Not to mention the mobo in question is out of stock.
Check at ABIT they will have a CPU support list.

I have an E6850 @ 3.51 GHz in the Asus P5K-SE right now. Waiting for my A+Case Twin Engine case + Noctua NH-U9B cpu cooler (NH-U12P doesn't fit in this case) to arrive (will take a while: store had neither). A bad thing with this board is the VDroop: i had it drop 0.12, from BIOS setting to full load value, according to OCCT. Tried the pencil mod but it didn't work (wrong pencil, maybe?).
Don't know the other board so i can't say anything for or against.
