serious problems with FPS and ping

ok, so i built a new gaming rig (

) and i love it, runs bioshock, stranglehold, doom3, all butter smooth, but now i am having some problems:

#1. my FPS is 200 to 300 in source most of the time, but every now and then it shoots down to 50 then back up

#2. i have 15MB cox cable, direct ethernet from my mobo to a wireless N linskys router, i do the speed test and i get over 8000kb DL, but about 70 upload and in ALL games i get over 900 ping

the first two weeks of gaming with this rig i got about 40 to 70 ping.

#3. as stated above i get some Niiice FPS in new games, but when i play the original DoD (yes people still play it) i get about 30 to 60 FPS

please help me.

Try Re-installing video drivers and cleaning out the registry..
