Heatsinks or heatspreader for VGA RAM?

I've installed a Zalman VF700-AlCu on my GTO2 and I've install the heatsinks on the front memory chips, but for now I'm using the preinstalled heatspreader on the back memory chips. When I installed the VF700 I left the heatspreader on and I bought 3 nuts from a hardware store to hold the screws in place on the heatspreader. Would installing the other 4 heatsinks that came with the VF700 cool the memory better, or should I just keep using the heatspreader?

OK, I just wanted to make sure, since I can only install these heatsinks one time without extra supplies. I'll install them later and try it out.

I installed the ramsinks on the back yesterday and I'll likely be trying it within the next hour. I'll post my overclocking results later.
