Fan Control Problem

I have a Sapphire Radeon X800 Pro and I have noticed that after I come out of standby the fan control settings seem to reset to default. Even worse, the fan never comes on again. Even if I go in and over-ride to be at 100% still nothing. Then I noticed that If I put the settings to 0% then the fan comes on at 100%!! I have tried reinstalling ATiTool, and the same thing occurs. However once I reboot again the Catalyst drivers resume operating the fan like it's supposed to. Also card is completely stock, no modifications to cooling or anything like that.
