Question on memory mhz speed, 667mhz memory running at 333mh?
so im using the following
intel pen 4 3ghz ht tech rated at 4.5 ghz 2gb memory pc-5300 ddr2 memory 9600gt mobo: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...00864922&cc=us when i use CPU-Z it shows my memory is running at 333mhz when it is pos to be running at 667mhz what is happening? thanks |

If you can, show us a screen shot of CPU-Z and so forth... Because if its DRAM Freq. then your all right.

shame on you cold storm
![]() cpuz is showing the "real clock". It's like saying a 3GHz P4 is running @ 200MHz cause that's the FSB. However, you multiply 200 by 15 to get 3GHz... same thing with DDR. You multiply 333 to get 666 (it's actually 666 but they call it 667 to avoid problems )

DDR stands for Double Data Rate, which would mean that you take the speed being shown in CPU-Z which is the Single Data Rate and double it.
