need help picking out speakers

i need a pair of speakers for my computer and i have no room for a woofer so im getting a 2.0 system with just the two speakers.

i need to stay under $40 including shipping and have narrowed it down to these three choices:

i need your opinion as to which is the best speaker out of these three:

Altec Lansing VS2420 2.0 Music & Gaming Stereo Speaker System: http://www.homecomputergames.com/ind...ducts_id=21256

Logitech X-140 2.0 Speakers: http://www.homecomputergames.com/ind...ducts_id=21217

Cyber Acoustics CA-2022R 2.0 Computer Speakers: http://www.homecomputergames.com/ind...ducts_id=21252

please let me know which one of these you think is the best choice and thank you for your help.

Personally I would go for the Altec Lansing's. I have had 2 set ups by them (still have one, don't use it much) and they're very nice.

I'd agree the Altec Lansing's look to be the best performers out of those 3.

The CA's defiantly have the worst sound quality.

I conquer with the former posters.

I'm not so sure now, found some AL reviews:

The logitech have better reviews:

Here's some other choices in your price range:

well its too late now i cant believe i missed those reviews at newegg thats my main source for everything i buy.

i didnt see anything but rave reviews for all the AL speakers and after reading these, it looks like the problem is a bad batch of volume controlers are the only complaint so i'll have to hope the one i get is from a different batch.
