So, I'm about to flash to 725MHz/1075MHz....but I noticed when I set the fan, it goes all weird. Ex. During 3Dmark06, I had it to idle at 50% and it was supposed to ramp up....but it went to 30% once the card hit 60 Degress. How do I set up the fan right in RBE?
Edit: I would vmod....but my multi-meter doesn't show decimal volts ...I take it it's not safe to vmod without that, would I be fine just knowing resistance?

Darn, I'll try and get my hands on a different one
. At 82% fan speed I get 49Idle/71Load, at those clocks. Crysis Benchmark Tool won't work ....It will load the "Contact" level, then start as if you were playing the game, anyone know how to fix this?

I ran 3dmark06 and Vantage with my hd 4850. My scores were really low, I figured they would be low because of my pD 950 at 3.9ghz and only having a pci-e 1.1 mobo.
3Dmark06 - 8382 SM2.0 - 3479 SM3.0 - 4535 CPU - 1741 |

I wouldn't say PCI-e 1.1 has much to do with it, it's the PD

Yeah, the card is bottlenecked by the CPU for sure. You should list your system specs in the UserCP.

My card ends at 730/1075...pretty darn good for stock volts
![]() ![]() Idle's at 50, and load's at 70 ...can't wait to get a decent cooler, see what this thing is made of

With my accelero on it my temps don't go over 41° when it is hot in my room so maybe it will go higher, who knows. I wouldn't be afraid to give it voltage now that I have awesome temps. |

Sucks the pD can't get the job done. I can't put a C2D on my mobo or I would have one already. I would need another mobo and cpu...

Sapphire. I am using the 8.6 hotfix too. I thought the driver version would be the same. I had it flashed to an Asus to get the fan control but it didn't work anyhow. I ended up making my own bios with 400/500 2D clocks with better fan speeds. Now I got the AC on it with a 120mm so I don't even have the fan on it, its right into my psu.

Use the MSI bios next time...the new one has 160/500 for 2D clocks, and it uses more voltage than other company's. You should see 700 no problem with that bios, and if you set it to 1.2v in RBE, you should have no trouble getting between 715-740MHz.

1 - 2D=500/750 1.05v 3D=730/1075 1.2v Custom fan settings, gets loud when you game ![]() 2 - 2D=160/500 0.95v 3D=675/1000 1.15v Custom fan settings, quieter, and silent when idle

The cards use 1.05v in idle, and most cards vary between 1.1v-1.15v load depending on brand.

I can just make one now. I see where the 2D voltage is. I just didn't get what to do about 3D voltage because the blocks are just "--".

If you leave those blocks like that, then they will stick to what the default is, 1.1-1.15v. I type in "1.25" in that space...and it gets me 1.2v.
