Computex 2008: G.Skill

G.Skill has three systems up and running. Each of them using a specifc memory product from the company. The first uses their DDR2 16GB kit, which consists of four 4GB DIMMs running at 800 MHz CL6. The second uses actively cooled DDR3 with 2000 MHz at CL8 and 1.9V. G.Skill also offers a passive heatsink instead of the one with the two fans in the image below. The third uses their "Pi" series, which denotes G.Skills new high end memory line-up. The setup on display runs four 2GB DDR2 DIMMs at 1100 MHz with CL5 and 1.8V. The "Pi" series is also available as DDR3. Their SSD offerings, which we mentioned at CeBIT, have also changed a bit. Instead of the traditional sticker, the metal casing now features a clean G.Skill logo.

The SSD looks very nice. VERY. My next ram will be G.Skill... again because it is so great.

As you can see Newegg does have a lot of them in stock.. I didn't post two others because they weren't in stock 800 and 1066 DDR2... I've been thinking about them for quite some time.. Might go DDR3 with them... 1800 for that PRICE!!!

150.00 for a 4gb kit is kinda much though, im looking for a nice 4 gig kit to replace my current 3gb setup...

For some that may be much for others its not... I spent around $160 for my 4gbs of D'9s... that was after I spent $120 on 2gbs of the non d'9s... The funny thing was that my D'9s are still around where as the other was doa.. But, I ran G Skill ram for a good 3 weeks trying to get the kinks out of my first new build and I got to say they where beauties... 800mhz that clocked to almost 1020!

good point.
my good ole crucial's will do 1066 easily. but i suppose for the nice h/s and all 149 aint so bad.
its going to be hard to part with my light show though.
