Re-install xp on a dual boot system.
I had XP SP3 installed originally, then added a 500GB drive and put Vista 64 on it (which I'm absolutely delighted with by the way). The XP is quite old and bloated with sundry crap (how unusual
), and I'd like to do a fresh install. I have a feeling that the 80gb Hdd is plugged in on the first sata port if that makes a difference.Would I be able to install XP without shagging the Vista bootloader, or if it did is there anyway to restore it afterwards? I was thinking that I'd unplug the Vista HDD just to be on the safe side. Has anyone had any success doing this? I really don't want to start fresh with Vista as I have it nicely setup with over 100GB of games and apps already!

It gets rid of the vista bootloader , but you can use vista boot pro to reinstall it from xp.
