New 3DMark Vatage World Record!

I just found out that on the computex a team of specially invided guys made a new 3DMark Vantage world recored P23254pt using liquide nitrogen and a Foxconn Dreadnought mobo as well as 2x Foxconn GeForce 9800 GX2 - the guys are:
Kingpin, the japanese Fredyama, Ducki ja New Beetle and known from XtremeSystems Giorgio Primo (also known from TPU benchmarks) and Dimas.

That's a pretty awesome score. Looks like nvidia is working out those quad-gpu drivers as well. Almost 24k gpu score, thats just awesome. I bet it actually runs smooth there. Probably won't last out the summer though, once these new cards get rolling.

I am quite sure this WR could have been adhived with 2 ATI 3870X2 too..

Yeah maybe. I dunno though, 24k on the graphics, thats pretty crazy. I get 6k on the gts 512, which of course is 1/4 of the cores and the score. Thats almost like full scaling across all 4 cores, although the ln2 and the vmods I'm sure helped out. Still, I don't know if 2 x2s can hit that.

My 9800gx2 is hitting almost 10k without a oc even. So that 24 is sure to happen.

Giorgos th holds the record in Alcpones 3DMark06 thread for a single card with a 3870X2 even though there are Geforce 9800X2s represented too:

If you notice that x2 score is w/ a qx9650 at over 5ghz, while the gx2 score is under 5ghz and dual-core 8500. Quads, especially extreme quads, make a huge difference in 3d06, where cpu score carries far more weight than in vantage. Equally clocked and core cpus that gx2 wins easily. Plus we're talking about quad gpu here, a whole nother ball game.

No my fault.. i didnt remember that vantage is a little bit different in calculting the scores when i thought that 2 3870x2 can make a WR too.. thats why I call me a noob.. no offence taken..
