Who here has a 4850 already?

DO NOT VOTE UNTIL YOU READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS!

DO NOT VOTE "." This is null option due to limitations in the poll options on the forum.

This poll is to record who has a 4850 already. Only vote if your answer is YES. Dont select the other option. If you are thinking about buying one, WAIT until you get it before you vote. If you dont have a 4850, dont vote... because you might get one later, so leave your voting options open! Thanks!

You are welcome to post info about your new card. Benchmark data is very welcome.

I voted . because I won't be getting one. I don't have the money, and parents won't let me upgrade before Christmas, when I'll either get another 3850 or a 5xxx if they're out.

It's an internet forum, not an IQ test. Different levels of attention to detail. You didn't forgot which site, you forgot what medium you were on.

To be honest, the results are AMAZING. Makes me worry about the democratic process though!

It's true: we really shouldnt give everyone the vote.

And OMG is goes to show how badly people complete polls or questionnaires depending on how well they read the instructions. This thread is pure gold. I'll have to include these results in a research paper.

There can't be a Poll with only one option, so the "." is there as a place filler.

^^ OEGUSAndy, I completely agree that the poll was COUNTERINTUITIVE in some way, ie. no option for most people... and they "force fit" based on precendence, and on "wanting to complete the form" type logic.

But looking at it from a sociological standpoint, it is amazing. I had no intention of creating a "bad poll", it just went that way, due to:

1./ Tried to make a COUNTER so that people could add one (n+1) when they bought one
2./ I had to force fit this COUNTER into the poll system
3./ Everybody assumes a poll is either/or
4./ Nobody reads the instructions
5./ Everybody tries to "force fit" a NO ANSWER into the poll, even though the option "NO" doesnt exist.

Dont worry about THIS poll... just imagine all the voting (around the world) that happens every day, whether its electing town councellors, majors, Eurovision Song contest winners, or the next President. The fact is, "democratic methods" can fail big time.

I had to! 8 noodles voted wrong. So I made the red highlighted text. BUT PEOPLE ARE STILL VOTING WRONG. We are at 12 so far, and climbing just as fast as before!

@lemonadesoda - your comments in this thread have been absolutely histarical!

Your poll does a great job of explaning how many people don't read the directions before "just going at it," though
