wow talk about a low profile release, i would hve thought there would have been more of a buzz about its actual release as with the 8800 ultra, i guess people are just sick of nvidia bringing out £400+ graphics cards and expecting everyone to be applauding them for it

But more seriously, how are they thinking of competing against ATI/AMD with something that expensive. Couldnt you buy 2 3870X2's for that??

Yea, u can get 2 4850s in crossfire for about £240 and it will easily outperform the GTX 280.

Aye, not sure why you think that Ramsay.

In fact, putting the 4850 aside, the 4870 (based on speculation) in CF might get higher potential frames, but still suffer lower minimums and stuttering via how ATi's architecture is.

Anyways, 2x 4850 is a nice solution, but not if you want to experience full on 1gig texture RAM.

I hear there's some 1gig models of the 4850 coming out in a bit, Asus already branded one and marketed it.

As for the Ebuyer thing, they had a BGF OC version for 399 along side that Zotac they have now for the same price. The next day it was gone and the remaining Zotac was up to 419.

Give it a month.
