System Specs

Looking for P4 MOBO that supports

Has to be P4 Prescott comptaible: both 3.0 & 3.2ghz CPU's.

As many SATA ports as possible, 4 upwards being a serious preference. Any less than 4 and it's no good to me.
SATA 2 compatible is a major bonus.
Reliable & hard working.

So, anyone know of a brand/Make/Model fitting the bill I'd appreciate a link to it and a small personal review if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Umm i dont think there is any p4 S478 mainboards that suport SATA 2, i know gigabyte or asus has s478 boards with extra SATA ports but never more then 6 usally sata 1. If you are looking for LGA775 then any 915p or better board will have 4 or more SATA 1 ports and posibly SATA 2 ports.

System Specs

Boards with the i945P and i955 chipsets, I believe are the only Intel based boards to support SATA II. The intel i945 - i955 chipsets will support all current Intel Celeron and Pentium CPUs. The i925 will support all current Intel Celeron and P4 processors, but not the Pentium D.

The Abit AW8 family of boards are excellent i955 boards. The Abit AL8 family is good if you want i945P, I don't think the i945G supports SATA II though.. And the Abit AA8 family for the i925X and i925XE.

ASUS boards with these chipsets are also excellent choices. DFI is also good if you know what you are doing.

All of these boards only support Socket T/LGA 775
