Arctic Cooling Silencer 64 Fan Speed Change?

hi
i want to increase the speed of my artic cooling cpu fan a bit as the cpu temp is a bit to high in my opinion (42 idle, 55 on full load), the fan controls itself but is allways a bit to slow related to the cpu temp, according to artic cooling it can do up to 2500rpm but just does 2000rpm at 55 degree celcius.
how can i change it?

cpu: amd athlon 64 3000+ w/ arctic cooling silencer 64 ultra tc
motherboard: ecs nforce4-a939

Did you turn Cool&Quiet of in your bios.
If that doesnt work there should be a section in the BIOS that will let you adjust your fan speed at a certain temp.
Say you want the fan at 100% when your CPU temp reaches 50c

after turning cool and quiet off in the bios, in speed fan on idle it shows 0 rpm, i checked the fan and it still rotates and the temps are the same. under load it shows the speed and its the same as c'n'q turned on.
i cant find the option to change the fan speed in the bios, i have a ecs nforce4-939 mobo.
