please help me with a ep35-ds3l mobo

so this is my first build
i just got a ep35-ds3 mobo along with a e7200 along with other components
the thing is i put every thing together but the motherboard seams to have no power no lights
and cpu fan doesn't spin either
i tested the psu with another old pentium3 motherboard and everything worked fine
also tested the motherboard with a single stick of ram and nothing else connected and no luck
tested the motherboard on top of a cardboard box to see if it was an issue with the case
so yea by now im out of ideas

could it be that the motherboard has an outdated bios that doesn't support the e7200?
if that was the case would this happen or would it have power but just don't post

id really appreciate any help you guys can give me thank you

i think if the cpu isnt supported, it should still power up but then give u an 'incorrect cpu microcode' (or summat) error. double check everything is seated properly , firstly try with one ram stick and a different slot, see if thats the problem

If everything is connected up properly and PSU is fine it could be a DOA mobo.

Usually hardware conflicts or even unsupported bios's cause a lights on, no-one is home scenario. I.E everything powers up, but does nothing.

The fact that its not even powering up, would suggest to me that something is DOA, most likely mobo, I think it could still power up but not boot with a bad CPU. Have you got another mobo to test CPU with, or CPU to test mobo with?

RAM could be dead. And ALL P4X/G4X's have support for every 775 CPU.

thank you for your help i pretty much tried every thing i could but i don't have
another motherboard to test the cpu or the ram so i decided ot rma it and hope for the best
but the thing is at the time i didn't have an anti static wristband so i don't know i may have hurt
the motherboard ram or cpu
i grounded myself before touching anything and i dint feel any kind of static shock but im not sure
if that was the problem anybody else has experience with this do you know when you have accidentally zapped a component or do you don't feel anything

You cant kill it if its not on(unless you physically damage it). Either that or the bios or something on it was dead.
