Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 - Good?

Just curious if any of you have experience with this product:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835186016

I want to silence my case as much of possible without effecting the cooling of my video cards. I've heard about this product and it seems to be the best solution for 3870's. Do any of you have this on your card(s)? If so, how is it? What are your temps like prior and after? Etc.

Yes, it is a very good cooler. Let's put it this way, it works as good as a reference cooler passively. Zip tie a quiet 120mm fan on it, then you have one heck of a great cooler.

for comparison ^___~

you can put on the 3870 just fine just leave the stock memory and VRM cooler on it.
will idle about 25-30C passively depending on your airflow inside the case. At load it won't go pass 55C Works wonder with a120mm fan on it or 2 if you are gonna go more than 900 core

4850 @ 700 core 1000 mem

the 4850 is 43C idle with the fan at 80% 85C load stock fan.

same 4850 with S1 rev2 and a 120mm fan zip tied to it.. 31C idle 55C load

An excellent cooler, especially as said, with a quiet 120mm, little will match it, especially for the price, in the UK they are peanuts!

Is it still possible to CrossFire with Accelero's installed? Doesn't seem like the bridge would fit?

I just put a Du orb on the 4850 and it stays at 31C idle and never went past 43C. But the fan is running 100% the whole time since it's getting it's power from a molex. But can't complain ^___~ just another option.
